I read an article from last month's PC Magazine called "Who's Googling You?" It got me thinking, what shows up when I run a search when I type in my name. I wonder, what kind of information do I have out there for the world to see. Thankfully, nothing bad but nothing good either. The results from Google, MSN/Live Search, and Yahoo are all pretty much the same (click on the links to see the results). It showed my Multiply page, Kookiis Style, and some link to Technorati which I'm still trying to figure out because my name was linked with one of the tags I have in one of my blogs here on Multiply (bad news). At a transition seminar I recently attended, it was mentioned that most company HRMs now run a search online on employees and applicants.
So, today I figured I'd open an account with Ziki. It is the site featured in the article. I'm not quite sure what to put in it yet, but I'm guessing all the favorable information about myself (not that there are any unfavorables but hey you never know).
